according to How Design !

The website entirely devoted to design, publishes every month a rank of the best design websites, by establishing its Top 10 websites for designers. This selection is the result of a hundreds of websites persusal, to find the best of the best of sites for designers.
And on last August 3rd, Drawn had the chance to be part of its lastest rank !
Does this mean that Drawn is part of the best ?! It’s up to you to tell, Drawn fans and designers friends ! 😉

This time, How Design TOP 10 is devoted to ressources on which the designers can draw, to find inspiration and imagine new creations.
More specifically, this rank deals with various “web design resources, design-related videos, and helpful sites covering the fundamentals of design”.

Drawn probably belongs to this last category because we are positioned on the 7th place !

And it seems that beyond our concept, it would be our introduction video, broadcast on our website, which would have earned us our nice position !
That’s right ! How Design presents Drawn, by saying that our introduction video fully holds the attention, until we see what Galatéa has “drawn” (no pun intended 😉 ).

So we can say that, besides of being innovative, Drawn and Galatéa are fascinating ! 😉

After “Le Progrès” last Thursday, Drawn has today the place of honor in Solidsmack ! So, here is the press review ! ☺

Drawn : The concept as viewed by Solidsmack !

In his article, the 3D news website first returns to the main and recent sector innovations. He thus dealt with 3D printing evolution since small objects creation until nowadays house building. He then introduces Drawn as one of its symbols.

Indeed, Solidsmack speaks about our commitment to offer on-demand 3D printed furniture, so that everyone could customize it as he wants and then admire its making by the 3D printer Galatéa. He also handles Drawn origins and evolution.

Drawn : Zoom in on the efficient printer Galatéa !

The website is particularly interested in Galatéa performances, which can print our ASIT seat model, in less than two hours. As Solidsmack precises it, know that the printing of the same designed but smaller-scale prototype, with a desktop 3D printer, takes significantly more time ! Galatéa thus breaks all the records ! 😉

Drawn : the ecological challenge !

Solidsmack then deals with the ecological challenge we should have to face. He thus handles the added value that Drawn could develop, if we would make our products from biological materials…
Well… Know that we already rose to the challenge ! Indeed, we are regularly testing new biological materials, to eventually offer, entirely eco responsible and environmentally friendly collections ! We will soon speak about these new materials in an entirely dedicated article, by the way. So pay careful attention to the news published on the blog ! 😉

Finally, the 3D news website handles our Kickstarter campaign and presents our collection. This one includes several design objects and furniture, such as our flagship ASIT seats, V vases or coffee tables.

What is more gratifying for a start-up from Lyon than having the place of honor in regional press ?
Well… As you will have understood, Drawn has appeared in a regional daily newspaper, this week !
And not the least, because it is “Le Progrès” !

In its last June 23 issue, the daily dealt with our Kickstarter campaign and so opened its launch, at the same time we did !
Indeed, as you must known, our campaign was launched Tuesday at 10 am !

Thus, “Le Progrès” handles our Kickstarter campaign objectives and highlights its significance for Drawn future and development.
So, the newspaper speaks about our first campaign goal set at €15 000 and why it is essential to reach it, for Drawn project to grow.

Indeed, these funds would allow us to finance innovative materials purchase and so launch our first furniture and design objects collection ! It would be completely customizable and unique ! This collection would also be developed and created by brilliant designers, before being marked on our online shop. Thanks to these funds, we could also display our first collection and meet you on several exhibitions ! Thus, we would have the opportunity to talk together about the creation of your dreams and we will tell you how Galatéa can bring it to life ! 😉

Drawn has today the honor to be on “Les Numériques” !
We are thus taken as a reference to illustrate the rise of the furniture 3D printing ! Let’s go back on our moment of glory ! 😉

Drawn : At the heart of a booming sector

Today, the French website devoted to digital information and objects tests, published an article about the growth of the furniture 3D printing.

It has thus written a true guide. Indeed,”Les Numériques” handles its origins, the possibilities given by this furniture production process, as well as its advantages compared to traditional processes. The website also deals with the sector stakes and its growth consequences on the furniture industry. Moreover, it presents the various existing offers and the players originating them.

And Drawn has the honor and the pleasure to be part of them !
We are thus very proud to be named as being THE « on-demand design store » ! We are also really honored to be presented as the furniture 3D printing forerunners and the most advanced company in the sector. “Les Numériques” has indeed judged our concept as being particularly successful and concrete.

Drawn : Our assets according to “Les Numériques”

The website has thus highlighted our concept and its assets. Indeed, by dealing with the various sector issues, it has also presented the solutions offered by Drawn.

Thus, according to it, Drawn’s great asset is its ability to meet your expectations and implement its prototypes. This allows us to offer custom made and entirely personalized creations, which are produced hyper locally and in limited series.

“Les Numériques” also put forward that Drawn distinguishes itself by large volumes production, besides of design objects.

What’s more, they consider that we rise to the productivity challenge. Indeed, one of the great weaknesses of the 3D printing is the time required for production. Yet Drawn, with barely more than one hour for a seat, proves that soon, the sector will be totally able to compete with traditional industry.

Besides, the website points out an other drawback of 3D printing : the production costs. But Drawn rises again to the challenge, as our hyper locale production, allows us to have very low costs.

Finally, according to “Les Numériques”, we will respond quickly to the need of multiplying and combining several materials.
Indeed, our creations will be soon composed of wood, flax and hemp. In fact, we have already exhibited a coffee table made from wood fibers, on the Paris MakerFaire exhibition.

The website concludes its article on our projects to come. It thus deals with our wish to develop a network of local shops, allowing everyone to create entirely personalized furniture. It also handles our desire to offer workshop trainings, to raise awareness of design and digital manufacture. Finally, “Les Numériques” speaks about our project to make Galatéa replicas, which will produce 3D printed creations, all around the world.
