Today, Drawn presents its new bio material ! That’s right ! During the holidays, Drawn was not idle and has innovated !
Drawn : Always more eco-responsible and environmentally friendly !
Last June, Solidsmack handled in an article about Drawn, the ecological challenge we face. So we wrote an article about it , in which we told you that we already rose to the challenge, and that you should read about a new bio material soon !
Well… Know that this day has come ! That’s right ! Galatéa spent a few days at the beach this summer but she also worked a lot ! Between sunbathing and leisure, Madam thus took the time to make a new ASIT seats prototype. This one has been produced from a material called “cellulose acetate”, developed by SOLVAY, a multinational company, which would like to become a prominent partner of Drawn, with its materials still in R&D.

Cellulose acetate is a biodegradable thermoplastic made from wood, which gives it a considerably reduced ecological footprint, compared to traditional polymers. It is transparent and easily dyed.
The tested material comes directly from the Research and Development offices of the SOLVAY multinational, with whom we envisage a partnership.
Thus, it allows us to produce products with a considerably reduced ecological footprint. So, it totally coincides with Drawn values, which are the eco-responsibility and the respect for the environment.
This new bio material is also totally compatible with our production process. Indeed, for Drawn, it is essential to use thermoplastic materials, since Galatéa needs to heat them to make your creations.
Finally, it is also necessary for Drawn to make its products with easily dyed materials. Indeed, Drawn’s concept being based on a total personalization of your creations, we must be able to offer you a multitude of different colors ! 😉
Thus cellulose acetate is the perfect material to make our ASIT seats !
Still at the Research and Development stage by our future partner, we are currently working toward its commercialization.
And given that the test of this new material was totally successful, we could eventually, use cellulose acetate for a specific range of our products.
